I am thinking of putting down wood chips form a shredder in my aviaries,
I thought it might be ok for the birds, pheasants ,chooks, quails
any thoughts please

You might want to stay away from cedar. It has lots of oils in it that can cause respiratory problems, especially in an enclosed area.
Course I don't know about Bulgarian cedars.

I use shredded wood chips in my coop and as a base in my nest boxes for my chickens. Never had a problem but it was over a month from being chipped that I used them. Ours is a mix from pine, cedar, oak, maple and locust trees.

Wood chips are fine outside but make lousy litter inside because they don't absorb the poop like shavings will do.
