I have a wood duck that was born on Mother’s Day. May 14th. I’m wondering if anyone could help telling the gender? I’m leaning towards male but I honestly have no clue AA4826B0-7F54-48F0-B4F5-20CDF8668D07.jpeg

Looks like it may be a male with the white under the head stretching to its cheek. It also has a little bit of feather growth on the back of its head which is a characteristic of a male. I may be wrong but it seems like male to me.

For a little over a month I'm going to say hen. There should be some red starting to show up in the bill and the eye should be getting pinky.
The hens get white on the face as juveniles too but on hens it eventually fades and on drakes it thickens.
