Wood ducks won't lay eggs

We live in South Africa and have a pair of wood ducks who are about 5 years old and have not laid 1 egg? The have a beautiful pond and a lovely house that they sleep in at night but they still won't lay? Can anyone give me advise please? These breed are not seen in Africa often.

What sort of nest do you have for them ? They need an elevated nest box with an entry hole. Is that what you are providing ?
