Wooden eggs?

So I just set up nesting boxes a few days ago (cause they were laying just anywhere). The first day, one laid in a cat crates instead (of course, I wasn't expecting them to start laying in the nesting boxes the first day). I took the egg and moved it into one of them and later came back to 3 eggs. So it got me thinking, would fake eggs work as well as real ones? I found some wooden eggs on mcmurray hatchery.

Don't waste your money on shipping, just go to wal-mart and get some golf balls. I have even used the plastic easter eggs
