Woods Coop Confusion...

It occurs to me that I failed to answer the original question. In this case, why I have two windows in the front scratch area and none in the back part. I did that so I could hang the nest boxes where the back window was supposed to go, opposite the door. I did not want to use the droppings boards under the roosts.

Another reason was the method I used to open the windows, which is to make the slide sideways. It was easier to frame it with the windows forward.

Rear side window would be a good idea, especially for the larger 10' x 16' Woods house....both for light and ventilation to the rear part. On the larger woods house, I believe there is room for a bank of nests forward, and perhaps a second bank behind the door and in front of the roost.

I think all you folks with these beautiful Woods coops should come to Ketterman Hill and have a good ol' fashioned "barn raisin'"...or eh..."coop raisin'". :) I'll feed you all and tap a barrel. :fl:frow
