And yeah, it can be intimidating. Your broody and the ducklings probably got this, though.

Update: day 29 - 7/8 eggs have pipped! hopeful some may be fully hatched by the end of today, fingers crossed!!

3 chicks hatched and healthy, 2 more unzipping any moment! I took the hen off she was making me nervous stepping all over the chicks and pecking at the hatchinging eggs.. We have them in a warm place checking in every few minutes, so amazing! Thanks for all the helpful info I'll take some pics when next time I'm in there

Haha, yeah, some broodies do that and they can injure the eggs that aren't ready. She probably is a little confused too lol
