You guys are right about the platform. That was my plan. That way they can get under it to maximize the run space. Gryeyes, that playhouse is so cute! I love the dog trying to get in the window! As far as insulation goes, I was planning on drilling some holes in the window openings so I could start lower down first. And I will be elevating the roof a little to add ventilation. I just have to figure out where to put a pop door. I hate the thought of cutting a big hole in it. Bburn, I'm confused about the pvc. It must be the brain fog from having your 4 year old sneak into your bed for 3 nights in a row to kick you, talk in her sleep, and grind her teeth all night. I need a brain fog smilie!

I have the exact same one!! Only difference is I got mine off Free Cycle.

Works great!! I use it as a grow out coop in a seperate section in my coop/run. I have a broody and 9 babies in mine right now.

ETA: If I ever decided to raise pure breed chickens I will get more of these and make individual sections like this one to put them in!!
