Wooly chicken (NOT frizzled, but like a sheep!)

Eeeek I'm not sure I like the look of that at all - I thought at first glance that someone must have done it with a curlying iron :lau:lau

Example of another magazine article author who is stupid.
Exactly - for those of you folks across the pond and else where around the world - the first article is from a paper officially called the Daily Mail but mostly known as the Daily Fail - they are very good at getting things wrong :lau

Those feathers actually look like hair! How the heck do you breed that into a bird? Oh crap are we going into gene splicing here? UGH!!! No, I dont want a permed chicken, nor do I want a tomato or a rabbit for that matter, that glows in the dark!! There is something wrong here!

Example of another magazine article author who is stupid. Has anyone seen the Country Gardens mag issue with the chicken gardeners? It pictured a female BLACK SEX LINK and quote ( the Rhode Island Red is a good source of eggs) I understand these people don't know breeds and chicken sense, but get your information right before publishing something! Come on!
:gig
If I find the article I can attach it, but someone sent me an article on people complaining about rooster noise on which someone commented “for some reason they crow all day instead of the morning”

From the way they describe it, it seems to be a random mutation.

I would seriously love to get in touch with the farmer. Maybe I should e-mail the website of the article and try to track it down...

Keep posting with whatever you find out please. As much as this whole thing creeps me out, I have a morbid curiosity..:D

At least the frizzle, at least my frizzle, had feathers. They may have been curly but they were feathers. These 'feathers' look like hair and hair on a chicken is just.... not..... right. IMHO...:idunno

And the silkie?

Does this look more like hair or feathers?
