IDIOT HUSBAND My RIR's gave us our fist eggs at 20 weeks old. So hang in there. It will be soon.

Hi everyone, we are on a roll. I am back home and yesterday we got two eggs, and today we got two more. The girls are on a roll. 6 eggs in four days. I am pleasantly surprised at their consistancy. We have one laying pale brown eggs and one laying eggs that are a little darker. I have read so many stories about how inconsistant they can be at first, but so far it seems to be an egg a day with two laying. Another bonus is they are using the nesting boxes from egg one.

I love it when a plan comes together. Thanks for all the great comments. Good luck to all those that are still waiting, it'll happen just hang in there, because when it does it all seems very worth while!

Congrats ! Got my first one at 16 weeks from a buff comet. Now at 19 weeks and am getting 3 a day sometimes and 2 a day other days. Not sure if one is doing double duty or a 3rd is now laying. Have never heard an egg song once tho. Seems the buffs just give a repetitive long long squawk that sounds like it never ends. The RIR, BA, BR have not yet started.

Congrats! Some of my pullets just gave me their first egg today as my b-day present
