Woot! It's snowing ...updated with new pics at the end

I like snow... but when it snows here, it snows a few inches, then it melts half way, and the slushy ice junk freezes in the night. By morning all roads are ice rinks making any moving object a safety hazard. No dry drivable snow here, just frozen slush good for sliding cars and doing droughts in the drive way.

Tomorrow is supposed to be nice yet and then a chance of flurries on wednesday high of 37 low of 23 and then on thursday a low of 21....I think maybe winter will arrive finally. Our wheat could sure use some moisture, but I don't think this will be enough to do any good.

We're under a heavy snow warning.

5-10 inches by 10am Monday morning.

I'm happy but my babies won't be. Looks like another bad day for chickies.

Jody....I'm glad my eggs from you are here and snug in the incubator!! I'm gonna candle them the end of the week (if I can wait that long!!) and see what I've got going.

I love the seasons, all of them! I lived in NC for four years near Jacksonville and once it snowed 2 inches. You would have thought it was a blizzard!! They cancelled school, and nearly everything else! Cars were skidding off the road. It was kinda funny. It only lasted a day. Then back to the old 50's and 60's.

We woke up to a winter wonderland this morning. Thought I'd share some more pics for the snow loving friends out there. Enjoy!

You can see our flight pens in the distance and how they sunk in from the weight of the wet snow...

This is a pic off my front porch..notice the buried pumpkin. LOL

I love the sight of snow covered trees, but our power company wasn't enjoying this..
