Working the Night Shift!!

Oh girl, you gotta talk to him and you guys come up with some rules. I'm thinking if he is only working part time he would fill like he isn't pulling his weight and would want to do the chores around the house and even some cooking too. There is no shame in men doing housework and cooking. A partnership/marriage is 50/50 right? If I were you I would be angry about now{day three}. At my house if I make a list of what has to be done, Snakeman will do it, but if I do not make a list, nothing gets done. Maybe you guys could talk about it and come up with something that satisfies both of you. Good luck with your problem and let us know how it works out for ya'll.

Even before we went back to work DH did alot to help out around the house. He cooks breakfast everyday. He always keeps the kitchen clean. He even cleans the top of the frig and under the toaster everyday. He has started to help fold laundry ( 5 year old DGD does it better) Best of all he is just an all around good guy!

I'm working midnight to eight am at a corrections facility and no internet at work. Five pm I sit in the sunshine while drinking a mocha latte' and read email, check on here and then get the chickens, ducks, geese, dogs, cats and fish fed, watered:) My first two weeks, it was hard at first but I get my first "weekend" coming up after tonight, Fri/Sat's

I've got plans to walk w/the dogs, clean coops, sew a jacket that ripped and spin up some yarn, make cinnamon rolls...read a book...a mini vacation that won't last long enough but I like the shift and the guys are great- they only have problems when a hardnose employee rides every breath they take...but that employee is currently taking a week off and everyone at work is feeling like its a mini vacation there, too;) The resident's make their own bread and cinnamon rolls...heavenly smell at work, LOL. I'm so thankful to have a job, too!

My Dh was just told he has to work 2nd shift, hell leave for work at 2pm and won't be home till 2am. He is so bummed because he won't see our son Monday - Thursday.
My little guy is sad, and he will miss his Dad.
On the bright side we are glad he still has his job, he works for Chrysler.

Up 7pm to 7 am, working or not, stay on those hours, just like a vampire Sun comes up time for me to go to bed, or is that the coffin

My Dh works two weeks on nights and then two weeks on days, so he's either coming in at 3:30am or getting up at 3:30am! It is really hard on my 3 year old when he's on nights because she doesn't get to see him at bedtime. He used to work ALL night shift, but they let him do swingshift for that very reason. She's a daddy's girl and we were having issues with her while he was gone all the time.
