Worlds Largest Egg?

Hi.

I have 4 rhode reds and 4 white chickens.
My hubby emptied the egg box today and found a huge egg in it.
I am suprised my chicken survived laying it! Anyway, i measured it and it is 10cms in length and weighs 200g.

I was wondering if this could be the biggest egg in the world and wondered if anyone knew who I could get in contact with to register it?

This has been reported by a Russian representative of the Guinness Book of World Record in Belorus Alexander Kalinin. “The egg that weighs 160 grams has a big chance of getting into the Guinness Book of Records,” stated he.

The Byelorussian chicken bit the record of its Cuban colleague from Las-Tunas. Several years ago, the latter has laid an egg weighing 146 grams.

This chicken egg is spotted at Jiangshu Province, Wu Qiaozhen Village, China. With a length of 9.4 cm, diameter of 6 cm and weighing 198 grams, it is the largest in the world. The previous record holder has a length of 7.9 cm, diameter of 6.4 cm and weights 176 grams.

I'd say contact the Guiness Book of Records!

Wow! How exciting! Is your hen OK? I had one double yolker and it had blood on it, poor girl. I cant imagine one that big!
