best way to worm peacocks lady Amherst and red golden pheasants, dosage? Also has anyone used wazine17 or is that a no no?

Wazine is pretty much useless however it does work against roundworms but not much else. We use either Safeguard orally or Valbazen diluted in the water at the rate of 25 to 30 ml per gallon of water made fresh daily. One day will rid them of round and cecal worms but we do it for three to make sure. Five days will rid you of those plus gapes and tapeworms. Oral dosing for either of the 'white' wormers is one ml per yearlings, two ml per mature hens and three ml per adult cocks.

That is why I give it for three days to ensure that they all drink it. Safeguard for goats is available at the farm stores. Get an idea of how much your pen drinks in a day and make about that amount of medicated water or a bit more.

What is the dosage for the goat wormer I was gonna try that but wasn’t sure how much

:goodpost::highfive: I wish they would take it off the store shelves at all of our local mom & pop feed stores. When that is their only wormer in stock, I have told them that they are selling a narrow spectrum wormer to consumers whom are wasting their time and money buying it.
however it does work against roundworms

Read reply #2 again for oral dosing, do not try to dilute Safeguard as it is not water soluble, only oral dosing for SG.
Ok that’s good to know I’ve read a lot of posts where people were saying put the safeguard in the water

I also think people don’t pay attention when it says you cannot consume the eggs if it’s given to the birds which is kind of scary

P.S.
Wazine is more useful with treating certain stains of parasites in swine.
I only commented to the Wazine post because it is a pet peeve of mine. When our local stores are only offering that product as a treatment option. The larger chains like TSC/R.K. carry a wide range of treatments, but a dozen or so mom & pop stores here only stock Wazine 17. :tongue. I like to support the little stores but they are shooting themselves in the foot by not stocking proper inventory.
