Worming Chickens

The opinion on worming varies. Worming regularly can help prevent large parasite infestations, but it can also create a problem by causing the worms to be resistant to the wormer. To prevent that, the best thing you can do is rotate the wormer used, or only worm when you see evidence of worms. I started worming twice a year last year simply to make sure I didn't have any problems; before then, I didn't worm at all and saw no obvious signs of worms.
