I haven 't been on here in ages! I have 11 ducks, 2 geese, and 2 chickens. Have never wormed them, but suspect they may have worms. Not sure how to go about collecting sample for a fecal? I assume all 25 birds would need to have samples collected? Any tips?

Does anyone have a livestock guardian dog or herding dog that you use with your poultry? What are the best breeds?

If anyone remembers Mildred and her continuing battle with bumble foot. She's doing fibe and feisty as ever :)

I collect a representative sample and take it to the vet - reckoning that it's likely that more than one member of the flock would have them.

Amiga! Howdy! And thank you! Think it's time to get a fecal. They aren't laying, eating like they are starving on double the feed (some are molting so not entirely surprising), and have seen indications of creatures. Darned bird are addictive :) I now have two Welsh Harlequins, 3 Khaki Campbells, and 6 Magpies. Two Gray Saddleback geese (5 months), and 2 Golden Lace Wyandottes.
