I'm not sure if that's available to me or not..I will have to look into it! I've been keeping chickens and turkeys together for a few years now with no problems so far!

We cannot get that here in the US. Here in the US we use Valbazen (albendazole) or Safeguard/Panacur (fenbendazole)Can you get hold of flubenvet where you are? I’m in the U.K. you will need to worm twice a year running a mix of chickens and turkeys as blackhead kills turkeys. The chickens carry the worm often un effected but it wipes out turkeys quickly.
Also it comes in ready mixed bags of layers pellets or the powder form to mix in with feed for a week
I have peafowl, chicken, and turkeys. When medicating them with something like Valbazen or Safeguard, I just guess at their weights, but for antibitoics I will get an exact weight.Thank you guys so much! That's very helpful! Stupid question but is it necessary to weigh each bird individually? Deworming my flock may take me awhile lol
Invermectin works great. It's the go to for treatment on internal AND external parasites. Cant eat the meat or eggs for 14 days after treatment. Its unregulated and can be purchased at a local feed store. Its sold in various sizes and at 1% concentration. Dosage is .2-.4ml per kg body weight ( dont forget to subtract feather weight). You can give it oral, subconscious or intramuscular just NOT intravenous repeat every 10-14 days till infection is gone. For parasites that are not killed by invermectin you need a single dose of praziquantel.Hello! This is my very first post here. I'm looking for recommendations on deworming my mixed flock of turkeys and chickens. What would be the easiest route to go? I have no run at all. They totally free range. Sorry if this is in the wrong category but I had no clue where to post this. Also! If anyone has any recommendations on feeding a mixed flock of turkeys and chickens that would be great. I'm currently feeding purina flock raiser from tractor supply but it's almost $20 a bag here. I'm trying to stick with my local feed mill to save a little bit of money as I'm hatching eggs and expanding my flock as well. Thank you in advance!
It will probably treat large roundworms and maybe cecal worm, but studies show it does not treat capillary worms and gapeworms.Invermectin works great. It's the go to for treatment on internal AND external parasites.
According to one vet, withdrawal it 8 weeks.Cant eat the meat or eggs for 14 days after treatment.
The dose is 0.2 to 1 mg per kg, which is 0.02 to 0.1 ml per kg. No need to subtract anything, just weight the bird.Dosage is .2-.4ml per kg body weight ( dont forget to subtract feather weight).
Praziquantel only treat tapeworms. For parasites that are not killed by invermectin you need a single dose of praziquantel.

Google the breed/species and weight, then use that number. For example, leghorn:

Fair enough. Panacure is a good wormer I use for my other animals but not licensed for chickens here. Be interested to know if the dosage is the same per kg like I use for my ferrets as a much cheaper option. My vet told me to be accurate with dosages though as can cause blindness!! Always worried me so use a tiny set of drug scalesWe cannot get that here in the US. Here in the US we use Valbazen (albendazole) or Safeguard/Panacur (fenbendazole)
