is it nessary to worm my 5 month old roosters before i process them

only if you suspect a problem. but there will probably be a withdrawal period that you will have to wait after giving the wormer before eating them though.

thanks for the reply we are in texas and are just starting we have a pair of barred rocks and some rh reds. the rocks are some of our favorites want to raise some

If they are just for butcher you would be better off not to . . . unless you got some old ones from someone else tehn you might want to buyt as someone already said, then you would have a withdrawl time.
