Hi Kathy, long time no talk. I've just been weighing up my options, fenbendazole or albendazole . Found this paper on using the fenbendazole in conjunction with praziquantel . Thought you might find it interesting . It's also worth noting that in this study and the link attached that albendazole is reported to affect egg production for up to 8-10 weeks after administration.

so if you dose for 3-5 days in a row, you discard the eggs for 14 after the last dose? then if you repeat it in 10 days, how long do you have to discard the eggs all together? or am I missing something? thank youThis is what many people do.

Quote: Three days in a row is unlikely to treat capillary worms effectively... Some people dose again in 10 days, I don't. Some people toss the eggs during treatment and 14 days after, I don't. Does that help? Pretty sure most vets would say to toss the eggs for during treatment and 14 days after, but not sure what most will say about re-dosing in 10 days.... I know of one that said to re-dose.![]()

Someone in the peafowl forum was advised by their vet to redose in 10 days after the five day treatment, but they did not give any details, although I suspect it was because they still had positive fecals after the first round. If you dose 3-5 days in a row, discard eggs 14 days after the last dosing.
