Worming with Wazine

Oh and for a few months, her chicken sounds havent sounded normal. Almost like something is interfering with her ability to make sounds, kind of like when people go "hoarse" when they have a cold. But she's not exhibiting any signs of sounding "congested". It's just when she makes her chicken sound.

I have a hen diagnosed with Capillaris and Coccidia. I know how to treat for Coccidia. I have wormed twice with Wazine prior to this hen getting sick.

If your hen was diagnosed by a vet, what was the recommended course of treatment?
Did they provide you with any medication?

Coccidiosis can be treated with Corid. For de-worming it would be best to use what the vet recommended or use either Valbazen or Fenbendazole.

Recommend dosages:

For Coccidia- Corid 2 ML per gallon of water x5 days for ALL chickens

For Capillaris- Fenbandazole 10%
.7cc orally x 5 days for ALL chickens
I bought the Panacur paste (Safeguard Equine Dewormer).

Call you vet vet back and confirm the Corid amount. According to the FDA and the MFG, the liquid dose for a severe outbreak is 9.5 ml per gallon for five days, not 2 ml per gallon.

I have looked all over the internet and continue to see the 2 ml per 1 gallon.

Can anyone else confirm which is right amount?

Out of 3 fecal samples 1 tested positive.

Multiple sites including Backyard Chickens.

I am not doubting you, I just am surprised at the difference in dosage.
