Worming with Wazine

So...somehow, I missed that chickens could carry worms

and one of my girls left a horrible poo on my top step that looked like an alien

So, I treated them with Wazine yesterday....and are you guys saying in 3-4 weeks, I need to treat them with something else? Should they be treated every year for worms as a preventative, or do you only treat when you see that they may have worms?
Worms are really gross y'all. I feel so sorry for my girls...or at least the one I suspect has the issue.

OK, thank you. That is what was in the poop - but I know some of the other parasites may or may not be visible. What do you recomend treating with after the Wazine? There were a few suggestions, but it is all so confusing. I just want them to be healthy, and I need to know if this should be a routine worming , or only if I see something..

I've never used Wazine myself but the directions should be on the bottle. If you absolutely want to use Wazine then I would definitely follow up 10 days later with Valbazen or Safeguard.

One ounce wazine per gallon of water. Set it out for 24 hours only, then discard. Put it out before you let your birds out of the coop in the morning...they will be thirsty and drink it.

Wazine treated water must be their sole source of water to drink for 24 hours to effectively worm your birds. Use both your waterers to worm them. Dosage would be 5 ounces of wazine to each of your 5 gallon waterers. Then give them freshwater 24 hours later.
