Where can I get some valbazen? I tried the local feed store - no luck. Are tapes common? Because I'm sure I can get safeguard at TSC.. I have a couple hens who seem to be losing weight.. they're still laying though. I just dont want to find a problem before its too late.

Valbazen dosage is 1/2cc for standards, 1/4cc for smaller birds and yes it will kill gapeworms. But you'd be better off using levimisole for gapeworms. Here's a link, Covey Rise Plantation is the expert on gapeworms, he's dealt with them many times: Posts #13 & 14:

I cannot find valbazen here but can get the safeguard liquid qoat wormer is the doseage the same??

You can get valbazen online at places like first state vet or jeffers. Or ask your farmstore if they can order it for you.

One of my hens has lost all of her weight in a week and now shes just bone. i think she has worms but i dont know what type. is there a wormer that deals with all types.

1cc for giants, 3/4cc for large fowl, 1/2cc for standards, 1/4cc smaller birds.
