Worms? 2.5 week old chicks

Get a few pictures of freshly dropped poop too.

Do you have older chickens?
If so have you ever had to treat those chickens for coccidiosis in the past?

I have treated for Coccidiosis...however these brooders are clean and the location the chicks are there are no other birds and i have used scorching hot water and chemicals to clean everything before i gave it to them.

None of this matters...sure it may help but if you have ever treated for coccidiosis in the past you can pretty much be sure you will forever have to treat new chicks for it.

I'd start treatment now if I were you.

YES BUT these chicks r inside my garage. There are no chickens near them....AND i am always clean when I go in there! I always see them FIRST in the MORNING.

They are chipper and normal. I checked poop it all seems normal!!! I will get some photos.

Ugh!!!!!

eating - just fine have to fill it daily
Drinking - fresh water daily
No dirt in brooder
Chicks r in my garage a garage that has never seen a chicken.

I always visit them first thing in the morning so I am always clean.

I know it is very frustrating. :hugs

Just trying to get it all narrowed down to what that was in the water.
That means knowing what they may have contacted including what could be carried in on a breeze.

:hugs Please don't feel attacked. We want to help you to help them.

Mmmm, no.

I had to treat for coccidiosis ONCE before I learned tricks like bringing in dirt early for exposure or only allowing short visits at first to new outdoor conditions.

All chicks can tolerate SOME coccidia load. Knowing your personal conditions can help you determine what level of treatment or prevention may be needed.

I agree that no amount of prior cleaning really matters though.. as coccidia are in EVERY chicken poo. A new overload can happen at any time.

If that wasn't moving... it was a shed intestinal lining... and that's my current assessment to what it REALLY was. :)

I would not be treating for anything according to the information presented. :pop
