Worms from worm composter?

Hi,

Complete newbie here. Are the worms produced in a worm composter kosher for chickens? I'm thinking a worm composter could be a win-win if I can give the extra worms to the chickens...

They can eat your extra worms--I'm assuming red wriggler type. The chooks will love them, but there's not much nutrition there, as they're something like 80% water. I did have fun feeding my chicks wrigglers as a treat before I started farming mealworms.
