I would just keep an eye on the RIR particularly to make sure she isn't acting like something else is the matter.

You're very welcome. I'm not a pro though so I'm glad what I did know was helpful. My chickens stopped laying for almost a week after I de-wormed them.
Oh so the saga continues...another day with no egg from my Red and my Sussex is still a bit poopy...we decided to check each of the girls for mites/lice. RIR and my other chicken Gina were clear and we found ONE mite (i think mite) in the wing of my sussex. Ughh! I'm guessing seeing one means there are probably hundreds. We dusted the girls with pestene and will give the coop a thorough clean out first thing Saturday. It might explain why she is a bit bare and red under her belly. Poor little thing

You're correct... in the US it's labeled for use in cattle, sheep, and maybe swine, but *can* be used off label in poultry under the direction of a vet, just like Valbazen, Safeguard, ivermectin, moxidectin, etc.
On what part of the chicken did you find it on? Usually, external parasites congregate under the wings, on the saddle, under the vent and in the hackles (commonly behind the ears). It is totally normal for chickens to pick up a few here and there. It is when they get to more than just a couple now and then that they cause a problem.
