Worms

noticed some bright yellow/foamy chicken poops. Thinking that it’s worms but not 100%. I dug around but couldn’t find anything that looked like worms. Do these look normal? More concerned about the 3rd, 4rth and 5th picture. Why so foamy? If it is worms, what kind of worm would it be and what do you suggest I use to treat the flock. Thanks in advance for any information

Unless you actually find white worms in the poop DO NOT WORM YOUR BIRDS. The treatment is a poison and must be used carefully or you will harm your birds. Almost all chickens that free range, carry worms. Unless they are passed in the poop and seen, they are not harming the birds. If one has them, they all do. And if you do see worms, in numbers, in their poop (look at their night droppings under their roost), then carefully following ALL instructions of the wormer, worm your whole flock. And know that they will all be infested again--and not harmfully-- as soon as they are out on range again. What are you feeding your birds? NO "junk" I hope--just good pellets or crumbles, free choice, and a bit of scratch feed daily--for laying hens, Oystershell and Grit, free choice. Not to worry, just be watchful. Good Luck.

I will have a look at their night drippings and see.. they always have layer crumb and free range during the late afternoon and evening till bed. I never give them any other food .

One of my healthy hens poop looked like that just a minute ago, as @GlennLee said, it looks like normal cecal poop.

Mine have foamy cecal poop occasionally - more so in hotter weather. I think it's fine, but something to keep an eye on.

Collect some fresh poop tomorrow morning and run it to the nearest vet's office to have it tested for worms.
It's cheap and it will let you know what you are dealing with.

Did you know that the only worms one is likely to see are large roundworms and tapeworms. All others are too small to see, so it's not wise to advise people to wait until they see worms.
