I have five week old Pekin ducklings (my first ducks) and today my husband found worms in their swimming water. We change it twice a day and today when we changed it the second time we found worms in the little tub. I don’t have a video but I can post some tomorrow. Does anyone have experience with this and know what I can do to worm them?

:welcome

Do you happen do have a picture of the worm? Was it an earthworm, or more like a roundworm?

Did they resemble earthworms at all? Are your ducks showing any symptoms?

@casportpony Might be able to advise where to go from here.
I’m not sure. I’ll have to get more information tomorrow when I go see them in the AM. My husband found the worms and didn’t report any other symptoms but he’s not very observant. 🥴

So I wet back and searched and saw no worms in either water container, food or where they lay. (They refuse to use their duck house right now.) I’ll keep checking and let everyone know if I find any. I asked my husband and he said they were small, less than half inch and dark colored.

Doesn't sound like an earthworm then, if there were lots of them and if they were only about 1/2inch, I couldn't really see a duck picking all of them up off the ground and then flushing all of them into the water.

Do you have a vet nearby you can collect poop samples from each bird and send it to? So they can test for worms or you can try contacting a poultry diagnostic lab.
