Worried about BYC! Anyone feel the same?

Okay...I'm kinda loosing track of who's the bad guy here and who's the good guy...can someone fill me in please?

A lot of people who know a lot about chickens, and could be helping out with raising chickens are focused 100% on the games, jokes, and fun forum, and because of that it is the most active on there.

This is exactly what we as a free country should not be like. BYC is a place to come for many activities and it is not for any of us to judge where we hang out, or what we choose to post on. Yes, there are many knowledgeable folks that could focus their intelligence in other areas of the forums, but if they choose not too, than so be it. Criticizing folks for what they are doing or not doing is what is wrong with this entire world. If a member doesn't care to read new posts in a particular section of the forums, then they shouldn't open them up. Simple as that.

BYC is great. And that is why I'm worried, it seems to me that there are so many chat threads and games going on that users are starting to "lose the point". I mean, now a lot of threads don't even focus on chickens or other poultry. Does anyone else feel this way? :/ Sorry if I'm over reacting but the "jokes, fun, and games section is HUGE. Is this something to be worried about? Just wondering.

Nifty trimmed GJ&F down once before. Don't see why he shouldn't do so again. I wouldn't have much objection. Speaking of which, the chat threads and games stay in that section, and the rest of the site is full of poultry threads with no lost point whatsoever. So what's the problem? >.> Just too much activity in one section means something is wrong with it? Lastly, those in RR chat allot. Just because we post more doesn't mean BYC is being taken over to RP's and chat threads. o.o

There have been days when he was the most active poster on the entire forum (nobody manages that with just "chicken talk,") and he's worried about all the games and social threads? How do you spell "troll?!"

Guys, I'm sorry for going on the chat threads and stuff, I'm trying to get off (avoid) of the games section. I will see you all later...

I wouldn't go so far as calling him a troll. But I must say, myself having only achieved 5000 posts in the past 5 months, and him 19k in 8 months, his is of true GJF style. .

Nothing wrong with being social, and learning about chickens at the same time. Maybe if the GJF section did not post at the top of the active threads for new users, until they start their own subscriptions, would help?

Not to mention that many read the threads and do not necessarily post in them is something to consider.

I love to RP, but I am also involved in the chicken questions too. I am in several RPs, but that isn't the only reason I'm here. RPs just take a lot of posting, it's kind of like several people writing a story together.
