Worried about new eggs

We received our first group of eggs last Friday. We're concerned because we came home yesterday and the humidity was at 33 and the temp was 100. One other occasion the temperature went up to 104. How bad is this? We will feel so terrible if this means doom to the little babies. Thank you for any responses!

IMO the humidity (other than at hatch time) is of much less significance than the temperature. Humidity can be compensated for during the incubation.
Temperature spikes are much less forgiving. A brief period up to 104 may not be fatal. Brief cooler temps (since hens naturally get off the nest daily) are less of a concern.
The measurement device is critical too. If a still air, the height of the probe is very important. If forced air, a fast reading thermometer will spike momentarily when the heat element kicks on.

Thank you

We want more than anything right now to do this right and hatch healthy chicks.
