Worried about the eye still.

Our chick had a bad accident, but she is all recovered now other than her right eye. I don't know whether the eye is real red to the accident, that's why I'm making a separate thread.
Her right eye is often closed, when she's walking around, dust bathing, sun bathing or drinking, but when she opens it, it looks exactly the same as her other eye. She only really opens it when we have food for her or something has scared her.
Any ideas on what could be wrong? She doesn't appear to be in any pain (but I could be wrong). I'm not too keen on the idea of buying too many things like eyedrops either. Thank in advance

honey dabbed on or near the eye would hurt for a second but WILL nuke any infection in the eye. I used it when I removed a wheat husk stuck in my chickens eye, and she is 100% healthy and has finally forgiven me for the little sting and lets me pick her up again.

I'm going to try that, it doesn't seem that bad but I want to make sure. It's watering a little, but not enough to go onto her cheeks
