Worst chicken breed

Honestly, silkies. There is absolutely nothing in that head of theirs and are so fragile of a breed. I never liked silkies due to how unbelievably stupid they honestly are; silkies can’t save themselves from an ant. No hate to any silkie owners, just making that clear, as the breed isn’t bright.
I haven’t owned any but I’ve been around plenty of my friend’s silkies (one breeds them as well). I much prefer a more spirited serama or cochin bantam to a silkie. Still as loveable and sweet but not dumber than a rock.

Not to offend any one, but I’m not a big fan of silkies too. I had a silkie rooster, he attacked people, I know that is a separate issue and every bird is different. But he was also very nervous and I don’t care for feathered feet because they get mucky and I don’t care for crests because I think it can be bad for their brain. They are not the smartest and mine introduced small egg laying and crests into my gene pool. They also can’t fly well, but it was a good size for a rooster as he was the same size as my hens. That is not to say I hate them or I dislike silkie owners, that is just my least favorite breed that I have owned.

I strongly dislike showgirl/stripper silkies. Unless they are buff colored. I don’t know why. I haven’t owned them though.

All of mine has been amazing so that is really the only reason why I mentioned something I didn’t have.

I know but they just aren’t the right bird for me, I know others like them. I’m just annoyed they are in my barnyard mix, my dad just picked one on impulse from TSC when we got our first girls. Also he just keeled over and died one day, no disease nothing wrong with him (the silkie not my dad 🤣)

The only dumb silkies I've experienced are the one's bred for show, & I've got 4. Show Silkies are also more fragile, especially when they got Vaulted Skulls. I dislike them due this.

My Largefowl Chinese Silkies are smarter then them, & alot more feisty. They also don't have Vaulted Skulls, so they can take a hit to the head without the risk of serious brain injury, or death. Still got a hen about 9-10 years old that's still laying, & going broody.
