Worst Dentist experience EVER!!! Protect people you love!

Get a new dentist. NOW. Call around, let them know you got a substandard job that was not completed due to NOT giving you pain injections. Once you find one that will see you immediately GO. Get the broken tooth pulled or fixed ASAP (been there done that, will brave the dentist again before I have to go through that again) and have them level the fillings.

I've had unlevel fillings, they are not comfortable, you can't chew, food gets stuck on them everywhere, overall not a good thing to deal with.

How about his license should be yanked. NO WAY should he have proceeded without informing you of your options for pain meds since you had never had any kind of cavity before. Call the state board about how rudely you were treated, not just by him but the hygienist as well.

Thank goodness I go to a decent dentist, just had a crown and root canal done in fact and he did a fantastic job all the way around; did not feel a thing.

You mean he's not already???

Both my DH and my Dad had dental work done on Medicare or whatever the old government health insurance is....and BOTH had to have it redone by a specialist at their own cost. What a waste of time, money and resources!

I would dare say this is not a typical experience and most dentists aren't this way.
Report him for sure.
His behavior is highly unprofessional.
He shouldn't be allowed to practice,
There are good dentists out there that cater to you.
Mine gives you a heated neck roll, wax dips your hands, gives you head phones to listen to relaxing music, a blanket if you're cold, etc. etc.
You are totally numb and they ask your frequently throughout your procedure if you are okay and they
are very polite.

it was almost that exact same scenario that made me get 'kicked out' and not allowed back into my dentists office when I was 12, I punched the guy in the face (after warning him) and attempted to stab him with the needle full of Novocain that he had appearantly 'forgotten' to give me whilst he was drilling....I did get him in the thigh with the needle though...which I'm sure if he had been a 'good' dentist, would have some how tried to press charges on me and my family...

Poor people deserve sub-standard care?

/sarcasm No, because anyone who works for the poor must have something wrong with them /end sarcasm

ever so long ago as a child I was sent to a bad dentist for just cleaning. After the second or third time of him cutting my mouth/gums, I chomped down, really hard. Guy was bleeding. Still feel no guilt.
We;ve had a family dentist that's great for 20 years and is not covered under our insurance plan and is worth every penny.

When I was about 9, I told the dentist the anesthetic wasn't working. He told me I was imagining things and brought in a nurse who held me down while he drilled.

Twenty years later I am still so scared to go to the dentist I have to literally be drugged and dragged. Also, I've learned that my family responds to opiate based drugs strangely, meaning they either have no effect or make our hearts stop.

I know I've had some good dentists since then, including one that I'd recommend to anyone. I still get panic attacks in the dentist office.
