Worst Dentist experience EVER!!! Protect people you love!

Poor people deserve sub-standard care?

I think that was a poke in fun at the proposed issue, not a dig at poor people.

I have a great dentist. Never have a pain.
I'd bet that yours was on drugs. That happened to me one time when I was in college. The guy was higher than a kite. I walked out.

I was waiting for you to weigh in on this one. Every dentist needs to be as kind as you.

I don't get how it pokes fun at the proposed issue. Someone please explain how this pokes fun at a propose issue and is not poor bashing

I think that the OP on that quote is of the opposite end of the political spectrum from me and that is how it pokes fun at the proposed issue. I just think that it in poor taste. Meh, everyone has an opinion, I'm just glad it's theirs and not mine!

Edited b/c I can't spell when tired.

I went to an idiot like that once. Wanted to screw around with everything else he could think of to charge me for, but refused to fix the damaged tooth I went in for. I told him I really wanted the cracked filling taken care of first, he didn't feel like working that day, so I left.

I found another dentist, and he fixed everything in 30 minutes flat, worked like a one-man nascar pit crew.

Find someone who is competent.

Also ... expect of them what you'd expect of a car mechanic. Ask what needs to be fixed, ask them to prioritize it, and ask them to give you a written estimate. If they think you're gonna shop around, you'll likely save about 30% over going in, asking for treatment, and letting them bill you for what they think they can get away with after the work's been done and it's too late to negotiate.

My personal issue with dentists is finding a GOOD one that finances. I have had so many bad dentists!!!! Insurance for dental care sucks big time, even the best plan covers the bare minimum.

As others have said, absolutely report him!!! You do not want anyone else to have to go through that if you can help it.

Also, this is seriously a situation where you should not pay him, might even consider a small lawsuit to help discourage him from EVER doing that to anyone else, and if you have insurance that pays him, call and talk to your insurance company about his treatment. They may decide not to pay him either, and they may remove him from their list of providers they will pay.

Wow. I had a bad dentist a few years back that did permanent damage to my jaw and bite, but at least he had me medicated and didn't cut me all up, and he did treat me for what I went in for, though badly.

I found a new dentist, that when I started to tell him about the previous one (I was at his office to have fixed what the other one damaged!) he had his two fellow dentists in the office come in, he took copious notes, and then he fixed the problem free of charge, which took monthly visits for over a year, because he wouldn't do much at a time, to avoid overcorrecting and causing a bigger problem. Excellent dentist.

Seriously. Report this guy. That is unprofessional and downright dangerous to have someone like that working on delicate parts of people. I don't care what a bad day he must have been having, you never, ever take it out on your patients! Wow. What a thoroughly bad person.
