Worst egg packaging you have ever received?

My worst thus far was bantam eggs in a large egg carton with a layer of bubble wra on top of the eggs. The carton was in a box surrounded by newspaper I believe. I was told this wa their "new" way of shipping as well. 2 broke, 2 cracked.

my worst was one sheet of bubble wrap around each egg then the rest of the box just long chunks of brown paper. out of 10 eggs 4 were broke and two had multiple air bubbles and 2 had detached air bubbles one started growing with detached air bubble then my other two so right now i have 3 of 10 eggs under a broody.

my uncle ships all his eggs from his grouse park like that he says he has had no broken eggs since starting this way of packing in the last five years. If i ever ship eggs it will be like this..

My worst egg packing was the eggs put in a cardboard egg box and just put into a larger box with styrofoam packng peanuts. All the eggs were broke. Box arrived wrapped in a plastic bag the PO didn't even want to handle it. My mailcarrier handed it to me and thank heavens its out of my truck.

I think the worst packaging I have received are the eggs in a carton, with pine shavings around them in the carton and newspaper around the carton in the box. Not only were several eggs broken but the pine shavings are absolutely horrible to unwrap and then the eggs have a sticky pine pitch coating.

I have recieved eggs like this numerous times..one was from a well known silkie breeder ..what a shame to pay a FORTUNE for eggs & only have 1 hatch...nevermind it was the "bonus" ..not even the color i paid for lol.

Ive shipped a bunch of times, I like the foam method also..mine isnt as neat as that one..but it works nicely. Other than that I will use bubble wrap on each egg, first the tiny bubbles, then another layer of giant bubble wrap..they end up the size of softballs..but well worth the effort when someone is relying on you to send their eggs in the best possible conditions to increase hatch rate.

If the weather is "funky" , i will also send the eggs in mini styrofoam coolers or just give the buyer the option of the cooler if theyd like it. it will keep the eggs at a more uniform temp anyways.
