Would a blanket chest work for a small coop?

I want two to four hens and I'm trying to repurpose materials I find on Kijiji, Freecycle, etc. to make a home for them. Wood is pricey here, but I can find solid wood furniture for a good price. I wonder if I could buy a blanket box with a hinged lid and use that as the coop portion of a tractor. I am finding solid wood chests, 4' x 3' or so, that might be a good start for less than $100. What about real wood crib rails with hardware wire behind them for the walls of an attached small run? Thoughts?

Thanks, Scott. I've seen that photo a few times. Its not what I had in mind, but that coop owner and I probably have similar budgets.
