I agree 1,000% When you think about it a rooster crowing at a coyote is nothing but ringing a dinner bell telling the coyote were and how far away his next meal is. I am not overly impressed with the reasoning ability of a chicken but they are not suicidal. That said I guess a coyote could get crowed at if the rooster saw him as a rival for the affection of his hens.My roosters stop crowing when a predator is detected.... Roosters crow to communicate with other chickens. They use crowing to advertise their health and vitality to hens and other roosters....
