would broody hens that lost their eggs take to baby chicks hatched a couple days later

Two broody hens. On day 16 17? Went out to check on them and the eggs were gone. Not broke not ate by other hens no broken shells. No liquid around to show eggs broke closely. Just gone. The eggs in incubator from our hens are day 21 and hatching. So in two days theyl be ready to come out. Wonder if the broody hens that just recently lost all there eggs would take to the baby chicks. The hens that went broody were 2 of the top three hens in pecking order. Since they lost their eggs. One of them is sitting on eggs again and the other one just wonders around without the other hens. Today is the first full day after they lost their eggs and tomorrow is the day we are taking chicks out of incubator. We were planning on raising the chicks in the separate area but wanted some experienced advice on possibility of the hens taking them in. Thanks

The one still on the nest will probably take them, I don't think the other will unless she goes back to sitting. You could just give your broody some of the eggs now and let her finish them up instead of having to slip them under her.
