A lot has happened the past couple of months leaving us with incredible limited funds which has effected the finishing of the coop. Times flown by and here I am with the girls singing their egg song so it's a matter of time faster than a paycheck coming. Anyways found these guys that never got used for Easter. So wondering if these would work as a temp nest bin in the coop till we get the boxes made?

Life happens - what breed(s) are you working with and what are the measurements of these bins? Are you intending to lay them on their side or stand them up? As long as the birds can fit comfortably in them (which ever way you place them) and they are secure, there is no reason these can't be used not only for a temporary fix but also as a permanent option. There are TONS of various "DIY/use what you have on hand" type of nest boxes that folks have posted here showing what they have been able to come up with that does not involve building or installing actual nest boxes.

Thanks, I needed to hear that! It's been one thing after another and I'm just over it. I haven't really decided whether to put on their side or stand up yet. Figured I'd play around with them in the morning. The bins measure out 2½x12½x9-3/8" each. We've got BR, SLW, Welsummer, NHR, BO, and a silkie.
