We have a bantam egg with a pip. I noticed it about 3:15pm, so not sure how much earlier. Not really any change in 4ish hours. It is Not at the end w air sac. Would you assist tomorrow about noon if no progress?
Hatch time (21 days) would have been about 4pm today. First pic is 6:40 and second pic is 3:15. Or is there a bigger problem as it is not at the air sac?

IMO, I would wait.
It takes more effort for the chick to external pip the small end - lacking the air sac. So they usually need more time to rest before zipping.
My last hatch I had one pip the wrong end and it took longer to zip than the others, but it succeeded without any intervention.
I would just keep a watch on it. If no progress at the 24 hour mark, consider an assisted hatch.

So about 2pm tomorrow you would consider assistance? Should I hear chirping?
Just moved the keet to the brooder alone.
Golly one alone, I don't like it, but better than none.
Hatching for another.
Thanks

Sometimes you can hear the chirping, but not always.
Yes, imo not longer than 24 hours.
Was this egg shipped?

Do you have a stuffed animal you can put in there with the little one?

I assisted in a hatch one time after the chick went past 24 hours with a pip but not much else. It was great that she had already pipped, because I was able to very gently use tweezers to take off the littlest pieces of shell at a time. I think the humidity in the incubator was too low (honestly, probably from me foolishly opening it to check on the other chick who had just hatched) and she was stuck in the membrane. I used a wet Q-tip to release the membrane from her feathers and once I got enough of the shell off of her, she was able to do the rest on her own.

I think you're right to wait, and then my only advice is to go really slowly and carefully.

Love the article linked above----wish I'd had it when I was helping my little one!
