Would you buy this playhouse?

I recently found this playhouse for sale. Note the suv next to it for reference size.. It is 8 ft. by 8 ft. with 6 ft. interior height and total height is 10 ft. Has 3 windows and a full sized door. Treated runners and floor.
Built by college students as a class project. Price is 1,150.00 delivered. The teacher said this is the cost of materials... Will be well made hopefully! I plan on checking it out this week end.
I can place hardware cloth over the windows and finish painting it. The white is a primer coat..

I am wanting to use this for my call ducks since they outgrew their small playhouse. When taking overnight trips I have to hire someone to come over and let the out in a.m. and lock them up at night. With this playhouse they could stay indoors without much stress on them.....

Yes the price is what makes me hesitate..

I think the teacher is truthful about it costing that much for materials.

I figured the cost of delivery would be approx. 200.00 if I hired it done.. But they are delivering it at no cost.

It would make a very, very cute chicken coop or duck house, but I wouldn't pay $1150 for it.

you know, if do your research online, that price isn't bad, not bad at all. It looks great, very cute, I say go for it. Good luck and keep us posted

That's how much I paid for my coop & I am very happy with it. You will have to predator proof the windows & side vents if there are any. Build nest boxes & roosts. I added a little door at floor level that the girls can go out of into their run. If you are not a builder & have the money, go for it.

But no, I wouldn't buy it. I am a cheapo. And I think it would kill me to get chicken poop all over it!

I wouldn't buy it myself b/c it is cheaper to build yourself.... BUT, that said, if you ARE going to buy a prebuilt 8x8 shed, I think that is really a pretty good deal considering what you'd get. So I think it would be a reasonable buy if you going to buy something like that anyhow.

I would definitely buy it! I don't think that's too much to pay at all. It looks very well made. Yeah, you can build a cheaper one, but will it look that adorable? I say go for it.
