What do you call this, is it just "soft-shelled"?
It is not on the chart that Kathy posted so I don't know for sure. It is obvious that that the shell process did not complete in that one spot, it is not damaged. There is only one two year old hen in that pen so it may be a first time layer. Part of the shell was very thin. All eleven eggs I got tonight were fine, some were mudballs, but they all were normal.
Anyone have any idea why some are cream color and others are pink?
