I think this is a very useful link - I would like to add that surgery is not necessary for many cases of bumblefoot, and at the same time, this was enlightening - especially the dissection of the kernel.

Also important to note that it was done *with* anesthesia and it was sutured.

Yes - major point. In cases where a vet is absolutely not an option, all the more reason to go with no cutting unless no other option exists.
