Wounded hen

I have hen that was wounded from a dog bite to her back and also broken tail. We have doctored with vet spray and meds but are hesitant to release back to flock due to her wounds and hurt leg. Is there any way to deter my rooster from mating to prevent further injury?

Can you post some photos?
When was she attacked?
Is she alert, eating/drinking?
Generally you want the wounds to heal before putting them back with the flock. Caging within the coop/run is a good option of keeping a chicken relatively safe from the others, but you do want to monitor wounds to make sure flies are not landing on her.

she needs isolated while healing, cover wounds with neosporin or swatt to keep flies away. do you have antibiotics?

This is her tail feather with cartridge sticking out. Attack was a week yesterday. Two dogs forced their way into my coop killing 2 hens and wounding my rooster. She has been isolated from flock since the night of the attack. Been on abx a week today, spraying vet spray and adding ointment to affected area. She eats drinks and laying an egg daily(we discard due to abx). We put her outside twice a day to roam within a large kennel And she is able to stand and waddle around.

Hard to see how deep that is.
I would not put her back with the flock until that is closed and healed.
If flies were to get in that, it would be bad news too.
What antibiotic are you using?

I would continue to care for her as you are doing. You don't feel it's infected - no odors or pus?

Amoxicillin x 2/day since last Tuesday. It’s pretty deep but no pus or odor just a dark color with skin hardening outside of the wound area( no color to hard skin)

There is really no new established timelines that I have found.
Of course, doing your own research would be good, you also need to take into consideration whether you, your family or others that will consume the egg are allergic to any medications.
