I bought 25 cornish rock chicks 2 weeks ago and feed them according to what the hatchery suggests I should but I fed them 7 pounds of starter/grower last night and when I got home from work this afternoon they were out of food! I think that is a bit too much for such small chicks, I've heard of the 12 hours on and 12 hours off feeding but does anyone have some kind of feeding rate per chick at different stages? I also noticed that one of the chicks was having a bit of a time walking and favoring one leg. Any advice from someone who knows?

I had about 80 of them they would eat 2/3 of a bag of feed a day the last couple weeks. I always fed 2 times a day once in the morning once late at night just fed what they could clean up in a few hours .

Maybe put the one chick with the bad leg alone .Baby it a little . For a week or so I bet it will be fine.
