Thanks everyone.
I did not work this morning, and I had to call my boss to see if I had to work tonight, he said, no, I do not have to work until Friday morning. I asked him how is the calf doing, he said its doing very good.
He sounded surprised to hear that it was born breached, and I helped it out. My dad wants to raise some steers, and he wants 2 calves, so we might buy that calf that I helped.
But it will be sad when it is old enough to be put in the freezer.
But that is not for 23 months, so I don't have think about that until the time comes.
I love dairy cows, always wanted a milk cow, so I feel that helping deliver the calf, might convince my parents that we can get a cow, but shoot, cows are not cheap to buy!
I can start with a heifer calf, but my boss will not sell any for they are his future milkers, plus they take 3 years before they give birth their first calf.
