Wow, just walked into a bear!

I know you were glad once you reached your front door! We run into them while driving here every once in awhile and my sister, who's a mile up the road from us, sees tracks on their farm every now and then also. Glad that you were safe and that he was not hungry!

Wow.. similar thing happened to hubby and me on vacation last year in Alaska. We took a side trip to Seldovia Alaska and had to walk in to town from the local airport. This was a gravel road through a short stretch of woods. My hubby all of a sudden said.. hey.. look at the BIG dog over there and it was a bear cub coming out of the woods.. he circled around behind us and kept watching us. Finally he went to a creek on the opposite side of the road from us. We started singing, talking loud and clapping our hands while walking briskly (ok almost running) on to town. We told some locals about it and they said.. hey.. your trouble was not the cub.. it was the mama bear hidden somewhere watching your every move!!! We tried to take a taxi back to the airport but one was not available and so we had to walk back the same road and sure enuff... there was the cub still wading in the creek. Thank goodness no sign of mama tho

First, the very fact that you could talk....that amazes me...because I know how I would be....

Yup, don't have to teach me to play dead...I would just fall over!

I have seen bears from a safe vicinity of my house...INDOORS...still didn't feel safe...the bear was perched in our fruit trees...
And then a glimpse of one from the car window!

Truly, wildlife is amazing...

Wow!!! I would be shaking for three days.

I drove into my drive way the other night and saw two rabbits standing there starring like "deer in the headlights" does that count?
