wow my 17 week polish just laid a fairy egg!

My pretty polish girl Dandelion left me a small gumball sized tan egg this morning. She is the ONLY hen in that coop, she and her brother Einstein are still slowly integrating into the main flock and have their own coop/ run. Not possible any of the others laid it. All the info say polish lay at 8 mo so I'm quite surprised. My leghorn was supposed to be an early layer and hers was at 6 mo and 3 days. - crazy!

That is not from your pullet. My guess is it's a wild bird egg. Your pullet doesn't even have red on her face yet which would indicate sexual maturity. Another option is one of your older hens dropped it near the fence and it was rolled into your pullets fence.

fairy eggs happen get them every now and then both coops talk about really tiny is my silky ones

I thought Polish chickens laid white eggs?

There is no way a wild bird got in their run- it’s fully enclosed w 1/4” hardware cloth even the roof- we are under quarantine in la county so no exposure to other birds and no other birds have been in her run. Broke it open just egg white like the fairy egg from my old English game hen

Hardwire goes to ground and under pavers- did that so no rats or mice could come from
