Wrapped for Winter

I can open the large doors up to let them get some sun.
I can't because I haven't let them out yet. ☺️ They're still young. 18 1/2 weeks. I figure that they should learn to lay inside the coop first.

Actually though, that would be a great way to get them used to going outside, and back in... After a big snow storm, shovel a small area in front of the coop, spread some straw and ground corn.
Better yet, it would get me used to letting them out. 🥹

It isn't clear, is it? But it seems it would let enough light in.
I bought a roll of that this week. Finger's crossed. 😊

It's certainly not clear but it is 6 mil so thick enough to hold up a couple years and keep the wind/snow out.

I have a roof over the run. I made wind block panels from leftover pieces of polycarbonate. In other places, I zip tie clear shower curtains. I cover the west and north sides (most of the wind) and the the bottom 2-3 feet on the south and east sides.

That's nice!
How high will the snow pile up there, by the end of the season?

A picture is worth a thousand words....this was one storm. This run has been taken down since I have a bigger one. It was 6'5" tall.
