Wrapping Feet

So now that it's open, would you continue to soak or just clean and bandage. Our vet wanted it uncovered this afternoon.

When I open one I put medicated ointment and wrap good because I don’t have a nice area like you. Once hole covers with skin I unwrap.

Sorry. I'm on my phone and with the Ducks and posted my question in the wrong place. We've opened the bumblefoot and are about to clean and bandage for the night. We were wondering if a soak is still useful (not with epsom).

I think that’s is up to you. I don’t soak once open.

Thanks for this! Ok, I keep trying to bandage their feet (two have bumblefoot) but as soon as they point their toes it just comes right off. What I saw on another site was to spread their toes before wrapping, but you aren’t doing that. Is there any adhesive actually touching their skin? I’m so afraid to do it too tight and harm their feet that way, but obviously I’m doing it way too loose right now.

Just imagine its human, and dress the wound according. Its easy to have a mental block because its a duck and you have never treated a duck before. But I'm sure you have wraped an ankle and put on bandaids before. Its the same thing.

By all means, put adhesive on their skin! Tape is your friend.
