2 more eggs today, this time from the mixed flock.
One of our BAs has started laying again and got a 1st pullet egg (dbl. black band).
I still haven't figured out for certain what mix she is yet, just by going off egg color I'll guess BCM x BA, I think.
I hatched 2 BAs and 1 BR eggs, no copper yet showing on any of the 3, they all have slight leg feathering but I don't know the genes well enough to know if any BA genes could give me clues, other than her voice that sounds just like her mom. She's got that weird 'merrrrr' sound that Roady does.

It just started raining here again, it's supposed to be pretty windy tomorrow then steadily drop in temp through the weekend. Single digits coming up

Yes, kind of the same here. It's a steady snow now but I don't expect much more than an inch that's forecasted. Outlook is bleak for the next week or so with temps dropping also, so I'm sure = more snow.

I'm ready for Spring.

It's been a whirlwind of a year here at the asylum. I've hatched a couple eggs, raised a few birds and even have a new egg color to show for it.

I've also have this thread here to post my daily pics and share life stories with all my old and new friends I've made along the way here on BYC.
I can't thank everyone enough here that's been apart of this journey I'm on. I'm truly blessed to call you all my friends, and want to thank you all for your wisdom and knowledge you share along with the many laughs and even the heartbreaks we encounter.

I wish you all the very best 2025 wherever that path may take you.
