Happy New Year to y'all!

I'd like to have a 4x4 to 5x5 elevated coop with a 5x8 run, I could put this in my existing 10x20 run without any chickens sacrificing too much on the space because some of the ones currently using the run would be spit up into the new coop/run. Then I'd have one more spot to stash some breeders.

I built mine beside the existing coop with a door between the runs so I can choose to connect or separate the runs. Mine is about 4x3.5 I would have preferred a bit larger but I was using up scrap material. The floor is an old pallet so that set the dimensions. The only thing I bought for the coop was one sheet of siding, one bundle of shingles and the door hardware. All of the 2x4s, OSB, paint, and nails were left over from other projects.

You did a really nice job mathcing your other coop, it fits right in. I'm wanting an easy to clean design, like how you coop has such a big door and also easy to reach in and catch chickens or check weights.

Thanks, the elevated coop does make cleaning easy. I chose the height to match my utility trailer. Just back it to the door and start shoving.

Catching chickens is easy in the little coop but not so much in the big coop. It’s like they know exactly how far I can reach and they stand just out of reach and laugh at me.

Are you looking for ideas on coop designs or you got it figured out?
